Confabulation

In psychology, confabulation (verb: confabulate) is a memory disturbance, defined as the production of fabricated, distorted or misinterpreted memories about oneself or the world, without the conscious intention to deceive.

As time progresses more adult children will be dealing with the care of their parents that slip onto this stage of their lives. We can only get better at caring for them with more knowledge and best practices of our experiences with this disease.

A place were family members, caregivers and professionals can share their stories and best practices to help the lives of loved ones who are affected by the roller coaster and craziness of dementia/alzheimers, as well as themselves.

My Best Friend

Irish Danny McAloon fought his last round today. He finished his good fight in his beloved Maine cabin surrounded by love. A great fighter, but more importantly to me, a champion of a man.

                                  Alzheimer's
progressive mental deterioration that can occur in middle or old age, due to generalized degeneration of the brain. It is the most common cause of premature senility.
